9 months!

Okay so I am now 37 weeks!!! This baby could come any day now! How exciting and terrifying :) Well in the last couple of weeks we had a baby shower, it was sooo beautiful! I am so thankful to all my family and friends for showing Daisy and I so much love. This girl is gonna be one fashionista with all the cute clothes and accessories she has already. As far as the pregnancy goes I am getting to the "I'm done" point :) I really do feel like she will be here sooner than her due date which is the 30th of this month. I feel so many Braxton hicks (fake contractions) and cramping and bladder pressure! I have a dr.s visit tomorrow morning so I will find out if I have dialated at all! I had a little scare this last week with swollen feet and legs, they were HUGE! I felt like I couldn't bend my knees it was a little nerve racking but my doctor convinced me it was normal and that the baby is moving down therefore limiting the blood flow to my legs and feet.
We have one more shower tomorrow night with the ladies from my church, its dessert themed so you can imagine how much I am looking forward to THAT!
I would like to personally thank my Mom for working so hard on Daisy's quilt, I know it was not easy, and it turned out perfect! I would also like to thank Cassie (my best friend) for making the bed skirt, pillows and an extra blanket its exactly what I wanted :) Thank you to my mother in law Gabe for all your hard and creative work on the shower, your a pro!
And last but not least my sisters Lisi and Jen for helping make it fun!
I feel so blessed to have so many women in my life that care! If you were at my shower (or if you couldn't come but blessed us with gifts), Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
I will try and keep you all posted on the progress of my last weeks :) Please keep Daisy and I in your prayers for a safe and healthy delivery.
God Bless, Emily

34 weeks!! (8 months and counting)

Wow! I am officially the worst blogger ever :( Sorry I dont update very often. Well I am just about 34 weeks, so I am almost there ;) Up to this point I have been extremely lucky with pregnancy symptoms. Other than a sore back and a little sciatica I have been a happy camper! Well all the sudden I have every symptom in the book! Its getting so hard to sleep, due to braxton hicks, nausea, pain in my back, headache, heart burn and a dose of insomnia :) I guess its getting me ready for those sleepless nights ahead of me. My Daisy girl is getting big, about 4 and 1/2 pounds now! Her movements are big and we can feel body parts finally I know for a fact she is head down which is good for delivery day! After my dr.s visit next friday I have to start going once a week! That is crazy to me! I have sooo many friends around me poppin out babies and I remember when they started going once a week, then it just flew by! Daisy's room is pretty much finished! We are just waiting for the bedding, and maybe a floor rug. I have one of my baby showers coming up on the 28th of this month, Im looking forward to that! And Travis gets to celebrate his very first Fathers Day! What a fantastic Dad he will be :) I would like to congratulate my friends Ashley, Amanda, Brittany, and Lauren for bringing into the world Viloet, Daylin, Jack, and Madeline! Praise God for healthy babies!
The tired but thankful Mommy to be ;)

7 Months! 3rd Trimester!

Wow! I cant believe I am in my 3rd trimester! Daisy is growing rapidly she is now 2.5 pounds and about 16 inches long. I feel her ALL the time, kicks, rolls, punches, the cutest is when we put our hands on my belly and she slowly pushes them away ;) Its really becoming a reality we are going to be parents, Travis talks about how much he loves her so much already, he is even writing a song for her! We will start decorating her room this week now that my room mate is happily married and out of the house ;) It will be light pink with hot pink, teal, and orange accents. I know I know its so bright! But that's what we want Daisy to be surrounded by, bright happy colors. My wonderful Mother bought the crib last week, so Trav and I will be attempting to set that up soon. And a couple of great friends gave us a really nice glider chair, and a beautiful changing table! We are so blessed and know that God is all over this pregnancy and our daughter. I have my 28 week ob check up tomorrow, I have to say I am a little nervous about the weigh in! I heard from friends now is the time you really start to put on the weight...Well we shall see. God Bless!

6 months Pregnant!!!

Wow! Things seem to be happening fast now! Other people have felt Baby Daisy move now, including Travis, Julianna, Pam, and my niece Macy! I can also see her moving from the outside! That is crazy to me. The big 20 week vital organs ultrasound went well, results were all normal. She is growing just as she should be. Travis and I were talking about how blessed we are with how good this pregnancy has been. God is good. We talk and sing to Daisy all the time, so she is a very stimulated little baby ;) She is about 1 and 1/2 pounds now, and almost a foot long! In the next couple weeks I have to go take a glucose test, which seems easy. I guess you drink some orange liquid and sit for a while, then they check your blood and sugar levels. The only negative thing hat has happened this last couple of weeks is a mix up at the lab for the SECOND TIME! The first time they didn't take the right blood tests so I had to get them done again. And then we were told the AFP test can be done to check for down syndrome and other defects, which we specifically said we did not want to have done, well when I went to get my second round of blood tests done, they must have done the test anyway without or knowledge or consent and sent us a bill for 167 dollars! And no one is taking responsibility for the mistake so I guess we will have to pay or it :( Bummer! Anyway, we love our baby and cant wait to meet her...o and I gained 8 more pounds! Which kind of freaked me out at first, but the Dr. confirmed it was normal, so to date My Daisy has given me 16 pounds :) Thanks. Haha! Love you all!

Almost to 23 weeks!

I am so behind with this blogging! I wanted to keep up at least weekly! Anyway, well last week we had our big vital organs ultrasound, It was the first ultrasound that I could feel her kicking at the same time as I was watching her on the screen! It was awesome! Daisy was on her best behavior for the ultrasound tech, the lady kept saying how it was nice to have a baby who was still for the measurements :) However, because of her position (head down towards my back) we could not get any "cute" pictures of her profile :( I really need to get on top of taking pictures and posting them, because my belly is growing! Daisy is about a pound now, and 7.5 to 8 inches long. She has eyelids, fingernails, eyebrows, her ears are fully formed now, so Trav and I talk to her all the time, actually Travis was humming to her on Monday right next to my belly and she kicked him in the face! Haha! Last night we fell asleep with both our hands on my belly feeling her cute little movements. :) Hope all is well!

20 weeks! Halfway there!

So today I was so proud of myself. I gave blood, and laughed and talked the whole time! I didn't cry at all! I know this may seem weird, but its a big deal for me! Anyway, Daisy is ACTIVE! Wow! I love it though, every day I fall more in love with this child :) Last week was the official closing of Gymboree, it was pretty emotional. We got to just play with all the kids for a few hours, and talk with the parents, and I also got some baby gifts! My Gymboree parents are the best! I felt so loved. If you want to see the pictures from that day and more you can view them at www.picasaweb.google.com/emily.tingley
Today I went to babies r us to add to my registry and I used a gift card to buy Daisy her first outfits from Mommy :) Let me tell you, it was pretty crazy buying clothes for MY daughter. Wednesday of this week we have a Dr. appiontment, then next tuesday we have the ultra sound that checks all the vital organs. I need to put more pictures up, hopefully soon! Also, sorry you have to sign in as anonymous, Im trying to fix that!

19 weeks!

Well this week has been a little tough, work has been stressful, and as of next week I will join the unemployed :( Feeling backaches, and tossing and turning trying to get used to this new addition to my body has worn me out! Plus I have to give more blood on Friday, because the lab did not send the results to my ob! Ugh! Good news is I felt Daisy kick from the outside on Sunday night! I was watching TV and I had my hand on my belly, Daisy was moving as usual, her most active time is right before bed, and my hand moved! It was awesome, Trav has been patiently trying to feel her, but Daisy is stubborn, even in the womb :) She will be moving like crazy and then Travis will put his hand on my belly and she will freeze! Maybe she has stage fright :) Anyway, I cant believe next week I will be halfway there!! I just want meet this little girl. Im sure I will have more to post after next week at our 20 week ultrasound. Please keep us in your prayers with the loss of my job, Thanks!
